Inception

The Rental Source began in 1998 to serve the needs of smaller, residential rental-property owners in San Francisco, California. We found these owners were not well-served by traditional service providers and methods, due to their size. Given the complexity of the residential rental environment in San Francisco, we thought it essential the small landlord had an advocate who understood and assisted with their special needs.

Approach

We've taken the industry's best property leasing and management methods and adapted them to the needs of the small property owner. Improving upon that, we use state-of-the-art office technology to ensure transactions flow smoothly and communications are exchanged in a timely manner. Tenants appreciate that we simplify the leasing process, landlords like that we minimize vacancy.

Of special note, we believe that the landlord-tenant relationship, a honest business relationship with mutual benefits, need not be adversarial. We treat both landlord and tenant with the respect they deserve, an attitude that is key to our continued success.

Service: You Expect It, We Deliver

Property management is not normally the expertise of the small property owner. We are there to answer questions when you have them, and advise you when necessary. Of special note, we offer free after-transaction customer support to Leasing (only) clientele, and anytime support to our Full Service Management clients.
